i'm currently using h&r springs(3months old), front & rear...matched with a sports absorber..(quite low in the front, even using 14" 6jj rims..)
my problem is, the front tyre keep on scrathing my fender everytime i layan a bumpy corner...even fitted with my stock absorber before, pun also kena...cheittt Crying or Very sad
now i'm wondering if i can increase the front ride height (by not using adjustable abs la bro..) by an inch..
-there is some kind of rubber/spacer on the upper springs...
-anyone know how thick this rubber?...
-is there any spare part selling this rubber which is thicker than standard?...
-anyone have done it before?..

pls share with me before i get into more trouble with the ride height...thanks

cheerrss...

since u dont want to use adjustable abs, ur only left with one solution....change ur rims cos ur rims offset is not cun...
if u want to add rubber spacer?? impossible la... how will ur spring rest on ur abs with that rubber spacer??? never been done by anyone cos its dangerous... since it is more likely to be dangerous, no one would invent it...therefore, the rubber spacer doesnt exist...

6j will kena the fender if ur ride is too low or the rim offset too small.. try to change to 5.5j.. or the only way is to use harder spring or abs..

i believe it's not called a rubber spacer...if u look carefully on the absorber itself, u can find the stock rubber on top of the springs (inside/below the absorber cap..or whatever they called)...
the thickness of this rubber can be change (if i'm not mistaken)...but i'm not too sure...any sifus, pls help me Confused

yes .. the main problem with your setting is your rim ... 6 inch is slightly too wide ...

however, have you perform the ketuk fender trick yet !? you know, ketuk the wheel arch there so that it lipat masuk, but that only helps to give is 5-10mm extra before your tyre hit the fender again ..

good luck ..

hm..i have the same problem..but i m used to it oredi..still get heartache like the other day came down from Genting and Bukit Tinggi...scratch to the max...can smell some rubber also..hehehe..well..to minimise the contact..i change my driving style...go slow...and do not force into corner that much...and remember to balance ur car with ur excelerator...yeah one very important note...try not to have any passenger in ur car..cos its a track car anyway...(look at the setting) hahahahahaha....like what mikeeeee said...do something with fender..but in fact it wont kena ur fender..its only ur mud guard..so try to push bit in..the best still use back 5.5J max if you cant tahan..hehehehe..cheers.. Smile

my rear fender have no problem at all...it's just fit nicely...the problem is in the front...too low until scratching my fender(hard cornering)...
-is it possible to find the kembara front springs rubber bush?
-is it fit nicely? or need some mods?

I got one question. As for kenari rear spring, how and where can I get those with higher ride height (opposite of lower ride) and as stiff as performance spring rate (ie 3.0-3.5 kg/mm)?? Anyone??

yes,u are absolutely correct..h&r rear springs is quite high compare to others (no prob with bigger rims/tyres)...but infront, it slightly low...u can't even fit in a 15" rims or a wider tyres...(as my situations now Crying or Very sad )
